Tuesday Update – Gem Minerals

WELCOME to an update full of beauty! I have never collected gem minerals personally, but in assembling this update listing I can certainly see their appeal. The richness of colour and bold crystal forms is amazing and one can easily see why collectors of aesthetics often focus on gem species for their display cabinets.

Of course, many of the specimens on offer here are world-class and aimed at the more advanced collector, but there are some alternatives there for those wanting to expand their collecting remit.

The scale of the Beryl var. Aquamarine crystals is mind-blowing and the colour combinations and intensity of many of the tourmaline crystals is simply wondrous. Even if you have no interest in gem minerals, or even minerals whatsoever, you cannot fail to be impressed by the beauty of these specimens.
