This interesting layered, stalactitic and botryoidal Wavellite might not gain many admirers for its appearance, but it is of a very unusual style for the famous Siglo Veinte mine (Siglo XX mine) at Llallagua, Rafael Bustillo Province, Potosí Department, Bolivia. Indeed, this porcellaneous habit of Wavellite has not been seen from that mine since the 1920s and 1930s and this fits with the previous owner being a pioneer in exchanging older specimens from museums in the UK and elsewhere during the 1960s.
