Crabulazzu Mine Arbus, Medio Campidano Province Sardinia, Italy

Crabulazzu mine is widely regarded as having produced some of the best crystallized Pyromorphite in Sardinia with the first discovery made during the latest years of the 19th century. However, the delicate nature of specimens means that very few clean, damage-free pieces are seen. That makes this miniature specimen quite special, with excellent pseudo-organic growths of yellow-green, twisting, prismatic Pyromorphite crystals, some displaying hoppered, flower-like developments and wavy, ridge-like forms. These spring from a dense, creamy to grey-white matrix which is quite probably Cerussite. An extremely fine Sardinian Pyromorphite, in remarkable condition.
