Although it was a copper mine, Native Copper is certainly not one of the species for which the Tsumeb mine in Namibia is most famous and good display specimens from there are rare. This very large miniature specimen presents a really rich matted aggregate of tarnished Native Copper intergrown with, holding together, and protruding from creamy-white Calcite forming a vein alongside a small piece of rock matrix. It is a really good size specimen for Tsumeb Native Copper and presents nicely. Ex Michael and Martin Gunther Collection.
