This large, thin display plate from the new discovery at Mindingi mine in Kambove District, DR Congo, displays a much greater concentration of Malachite than typically seen within the new pocket, where individual and clustered bubbly spherules of velvety Malachite are usually seen on veins of crystallized white Quartz. This specimen instead, shows an almost complete coating of dark forest-green velvety botryoidal and organic-like growths of Malachite upon a thin bed/vein of Quartz. The velvety lustre and chatoyancy presented by this Malachite is exceptional and at a level above anything we have seen previously from there but can't truly be captured in photographs, so I thoroughly recommend viewing the video. In extremely fine condition, this plate is a great larger size for display.
