Not only rare but beautiful too! Everything about this superb Wessels mine specimen exudes class: from the beautiful contrast in colours from dark salmon pink (Inesite) to creamy-white (Xonotlite); to their sumptuous texture of velvet-like botryoidal sprays; super aesthetics; remarkable lack of damage; and of course size. This is quite simply one of the finest display combinations of Inesite and Xonotlite that you are ever likely to see, with perfect natural aesthetics, but more importantly, for soft, delicate species, the care and attention of how it was preserved both during the collection process and afterwards. Wessels mine, which opened in 1973, is not the Type Locality of either species, but specimens collected during the 1980s are widely regarded as the "best of species", particularly on the basis of stunningly attractive displays. A truly sensational display specimen of these rare species.
