The Obdulia vein at Jaimina mine, in the Caravia District of Asturias, in northern Spain is renowned for its very gemmy pale purple to violet cubic Fluorite crystals. This pretty miniature specimen is dominated by a 2.5 cm wide transparent, colourless to very pale violet cube with a noticeable darker purple band just inside its outer edges. Its front-facing sides and crystal edges are in excellent condition but it does display a reflection of light across an internal cleavage surface. A few smaller Fluorite crystals are intergrown with this main crystal and the back of the specimen is massive Fluorite. Ex Arvid Pasto Collection.
