Fine clusters of dark blue-green drusy botryoidal areas of Devilline measuring to 2.5 cm sit on the surface of this small cabinet-sized display specimen from the Špania Dolina (Herrengrund) area in Slovakia. Although the species was first described from Cornwall, in the 1860s, it is the material found a decade later in Slovakia which is still considered the world's best and why it was once called Herrengrundite. The botryoidal forms are composed of tightly packed lath-like crystals, some partly coated by light pastel blue Chrysocolla, on a light sandstone matrix. An excellent Devilline specimen from this famous historic mining area. Ex Simone and Peter Huber Collection.
