Renowned for exceptionally fine Cerussite crystals, the Tsumeb mine in Namibia is also arguably the world's most important mineral locality on account of its mineral diversity and quality of specimens produced. This super Cerussite specimen is miniature in size, but demonstrates admirably the quality of crystals found at Tsumeb. Almost entirely Cerussite, the main crystal is tabular in form, reaching at least 2.1 x 2.6 cm in size, and showing like a window pane with its transparency. Branching off from one side are twinned crystals, a feature well-known in Cerussite crystals from Tsumeb. One on the opposite side is missing, with just the stump of where it was once attached. That said, overall, the crystal faces and edges are in excellent condition for such a soft mineral species. A really very nice smaller crystallized Tsumeb mine Cerussite.
