This stunning small cabinet display specimen features a magnificent 3.1 cm long, by 3 mm thick, intense orange translucent Wulfenite crystal standing perfectly upright from its iron-rich gossanous matrix, studded with more traditionally shaped square tabular platy crystals, with a superb-bright adamantine lustre and fine transparency. The main crystal is absolutely perfect, with no damage and a highly unusual shape - its upper edges giving the impression of an eight-sided tabular plate, but shifting more towards a four-sided plate lower down, but with the remainder of those faces hidden where it is attached to the matrix. Then, on one side of the crystal it displays prominent sloping bevelled sides, some of which are less reflective, but with the main face sumptuously bright and reflective with an outstanding orange colour. A second, smaller, but perfectly parallel crystal sits right in the middle of this face. On the other side of the main crystal, the bevelled edges are absent, with just a marvelous, glossy, smooth, highly reflective orange surface.
