The tourmaline crystals reach 4 cm in length and grade from dark green upwards towards their terminations into a vibrant gemmy green, with a 1 mm thick termination cap of colourless-pink. The terminations of the tourmaline crystals are pinacoids with shallow pyramidal 'corners'.
