This fine small miniature specimen consists of a domed, flower-like aggregate (2.7 cm across) of rich pearlescent pink platy rhombic Rhodochrosite crystals growing outwards from a central core of black manganese oxide, as show by a cross-section on the underside of the specimen. The Rhodochrosite crystals form a colourful outer 3 to 4 mm crystallized layer upon a pale pink inner zone.
