The underlying matrix is sooty black Coronadite, or some similar manganese mixture, entirely covered in transparent micro-crystals of Pyromorphite which give a sparkling black contrasting background. The reverse side of this specimen has little Cerussite but a much greater coverage of Pyromorphite.
