Underneath the Calcite bed is an earlier generation of yellow Native Sulphur. The larger Native Sulphur crystals on the top initially look a like haphazard, but upon closer inspection their faces allign and reflect together as the specimen is tilted. Some of the larger, orange crystals are overgrown by brighter, lemon-yellow, smaller Native Sulphur crystals, some of which have an almost molten, waxy texture.
