Many of the dendritic crystallised structures extend to over 2 cm long and criss-cross the surface, piled one above another.  The arborescent crystals form herringbone, V-shaped and interlaced alternately inverted ‘V^V’ patterns and in many areas, superb cubic and triangular-hopper crystals are in abundance.
