The specimen is a modern one, from the 21st century operations at Niederschlag mine right on the border between Saxony, Germany and the Czech Republic and the print shows that it was collected in 2016. The painting is by 'MJ' in 2022. The specimen is a cabinet-sized bed of pale cream coloured Fluorite cubes aggregated together and with a thin rusty orange coating of iron oxides upon both sides upon which sparse 'balls' of pale green silky Malachite are scattered. These microcrystalline spiky to feathery spherules reach 3.5 mm in diameter and really draw attention to the specimen. A circular number label (853) is affixed to the back of the specimen. The framed painting measures 44.5 x 33.5 cm within its silver painted frame.
