{"product_id":"krennerite-with-sylvanite-with-rhodochrosite-and-quartz","title":"KRENNERITE with SYLVANITE with RHODOCHROSITE and QUARTZ","description":"Krennerite is a very rare gold silver telluride that was first described from Nagyag (modern day Săcărâmb) in 1877, but it was known much earlier than this, even when its true chemistry was not fully understood. This extremely rich hand specimen from Nagyag is a very old one, dating to the middle of the 19th century if not earlier. Coming from the superb systematic collection assembled by the brothers Martin and Michael Günther (1951-2007 \u0026amp; 1956-2021) it is accompanied by three very old hand written labels, all of which appear to date to the 1800s. With a pale cream-pink, classic Rhodochrosite matrix Krennerite and Sylvanite form silvery-grey and dark grey-black dendritic crystal growths within the massive Rhodochrosite but extending outwards into terminated crystals within cavities. A number label (2133) is affixed to the back of the specimen and this number relates consistently across all three old labels, but predates the Günther's collection. Krennerite specimens from the Type Locality are very rare, even more so ones as richly crystallized as this. This would certainly not look out of place on display in a major museum with its fabulous old labels the icing on the cake.","brand":"Crystal Classics","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":58789398053199,"sku":"CC27353","price":3708.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/1011\/3748\/2063\/files\/CC27353_ffc64ca9-2421-4f96-8f91-4d99be5f3211.jpg?v=1789484607","url":"https:\/\/crystalclassics.co.uk\/products\/krennerite-with-sylvanite-with-rhodochrosite-and-quartz","provider":"Crystal Classics UK","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
