{"product_id":"fluorite-with-quartz-14","title":"FLUORITE with QUARTZ","description":"The quality and diversity of Fluorite specimens from Okorusu mine in Otjiwarongo District, Namibia is remarkable but sometimes it is easy to forget that the supply of new specimens has ceased. What we see here, with this sample, and other recent listings, are specimens that were held in older collections, either in Namibia, or Germany, and so are not a new supply, but a limited quantity of fine collector's specimens. What I particularly like about this specimen is its striking colour zoning, from pale green cores, to a thin electric-blue line 2 to 3 mm inside the crystal edges and an outer thin purple band. This really well balanced aggregate of sharp cubic crystals, up to 2.2 cm on edge, presents extremely well with good directional lighting, with almost all of the Fluorite crystals showing the wonderful zonation in colour. There is some minor chipping to a few of the Fluorite crystals, but I think the quality of its zonation far outweighs these other imperfections. A little small, grey, terminated Quartz crystals accompany the Fluorite along with a couple of small etched Baryte crystals.
