{"product_id":"fluorite-with-calcite-44","title":"FLUORITE with CALCITE","description":"This superb Denton mine Fluorite specimen displays the famous naturally etched and re-healed form of Fluorite, with a pitted, corroded core of amber-orange Fluorite upon which a thin 'film' of pale purple cubic crystals have developed, almost epitaxially. Externally, these pale purple cubes are sharp and smooth along their edges and corners, and quite large, at up to 5.9 cm on edge. However the centre of their faces are sunken, or hoppered, but covered in small unusual flattened cuboid Fluorite crystals grown in seemingly random orientations. The main amber core can be seen through the face centres, but their purple shell produces lovely colour zonation. To add to its attraction, and fascination, multiple elongated, seed-like cream coloured Calcite crystals rise from the surfaces of the Fluorite. The largest Calcite crystal reaches 4 cm in length and is doubly-terminated. Some black Sphalerite is present too. One of the main larger Fluorite crystals is missing one corner, but this is natural, with stepped faces seen upon its truncated surface and with a Calcite crystal perched upon it too.
