Not only that, it is a sizable larger cabinet display specimen. Elongated in form, this piece is completely covered in glassy, translucent to transparent intergrown cubic Fluorite crystals the largest of which reaches 1.9 cm on edge, with most crystals over 8 mm. There are a few with slightly chipped corners, but many exhibit unusual growth features, such as crystals with a single, pyramidal, three-sided truncated corner, or, predominantly sharp edges but with random bevelled edges down one side, or occasionally two opposing side. Even slight colour zoning presents an unusual combination, with delicate purple colours in some corners and green outer bands along the edges. This is an an impressive 'alternative' crystallized Fluorite from this remarkable fluorspar mine, where nominated rescue collectors were allowed by the management to recover and preserve some of its crystal treasures.
