{"product_id":"fluorite-153","title":"FLUORITE","description":"Presenting the classic pale emerald-green to lime-jelly green Fluorite colour for which Okorusu mine in Namibia is most famous, this small cabinet-sized aggregate of well-formed cubic crystals has a real charm to it. This is possibly created by the unusual partial coating of dark brown rusty iron oxide, providing additional character compared with the typical monomineralic Fluorite specimens we see from this mine. The crystals, the largest of which reaches 1.5 cm on edge, are translucent to transparent and green within their core, but actually pass to colourless around their edges, but the green stands out most from a distance. Most of the crystals are between 5 to 9 mm on edge and are generally in very good condition, with just a few small chips and a glassy to sub-vitreous lustre. On the back, the matrix is pale purple finer-grained Fluorite.
