Ferberite is what used to be named Wolframite, but now specifically defines the iron-end member of the Ferberite-H'bnerite iron-manganese tungstate series.  The metallic greyish-black crystal forms a 4.0 x 5.8 x 1.7 cm chisel-like blade with a 3 cm long sharp termination with stepped and horizontally striated prism faces.
