I would hazard as guess at none, or very few. This makes this beautifully crystallized cabinet-sized specimen that probably dates to the 1980s, or perhaps earlier, an absolute delight. Remarkably, the reverse of the specimen is liberally covered in fan-like sprays of colourless bladed Hemimorphite crystals (to 7 mm in length), the like of which Ojuela mine is famous, but it is the other side, and the Dolomite for which this piece is so special. The rhombic Dolomite crystals are distinctively opaque white and exceptionally reach 2.5 cm on edge, with some included with orange rusty Goethite gossany matrix. The Dolomite crystals all have very sharp edges and are in superb condition, but it is their layout, gracefully flowing as interlocking crystals of varying sizes which makes it really standout. These crystals are the real matrix, with the rusty gossan a lesser component, and the Hemimorphite a coating on the back of the Dolomite. A really beautiful Dolomite from this famous Mexican occurrence.
