I have never seen a picture of the pocket, but it must have been an impressive sight. Hopefully though the miners were not tempted to lick the walls! This fine large miniature specimen from that find represents a thin bed of intergrown rhombic Calcite crystals which display the iconic sparkling pearlescent lustre and which are very slightly peppermint-green in colour, perhaps indicating what flavour the ice cream was.
