This very large thumbnail specimen comes from the superb systematic collection assembled by the brothers Martin and Michael Günther (1951-2007 \u0026amp; 1956-2021) and features several distinct shapes of Corkite crystals, from a finely crystallized glossy crust on massive Goethite, to larger (0.4 to 0.9 mm wide) pseudocubic and wedge-shaped crystals in small cavities on the back of the specimen. Under strong illumination, or under microscopy, the translucent Corkite crystals present the classic yellow-olive green colour.
