However, sat discretely on top is a ball-like beige aggregate of the rare manganese silicate species - Caryopilite. This ball reaches 1 cm in diameter which is quite substantial for this species. The display surface of Rhodochrosite is pristine with just one tiny area of contact damage on the back of the specimen.
