The specimen is from the Vrančice area, where mining dates to medieval times, within the Příbram mining district of Central Bohemian in the Czech Republic. Under LWUV the nail-head crystals fluoresce bright orange-red and look magnificent; conversely, the pinkish-orange granular Calcite is non-fluorescent.
