{"product_id":"beryl-var-emerald-14","title":"BERYL var. Emerald","description":"Emerald, the green, gem variety of Beryl is one of the hardest of gem minerals to find either in well-defined aesthetic crystals, or as gem-quality rough material for cutting. Colombia is, and has always been the greatest source, but fine crystallized specimens are now so expensive to obtain. In China, the Dayakou Emerald mine situated quite near to the border with Vietnam in Malipo County, Wenshan Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province has, since the earliest years of the 21st century, produced some respectable Emerald crystals. Although not in the same league as the Colombian specimens this fine miniature specimen reveals a very rich colour to the Emerald from Dayakou Emerald mine. It features a single hexagonal prismatic crystal, reaching 1.2 cm in length protruding from a dappled orange-brown and white Calcite-rich matrix. The Emerald crystal is fractured at an angle of about 45 degrees across its exposed end, but appears to be terminated at its other end where it sits within the host rock. This crystal is noticeably gemmy and really intensely coloured compared with most Emerald crystals we have seen from China, making it a fine example for display or study.","brand":"Crystal Classics","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":58332367159631,"sku":"CC49020","price":527.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/1011\/3748\/2063\/files\/CC49020_Emerald_Dayakou_Emarald_mine_CHina_P22_2679ed.jpg?v=1785250873","url":"https:\/\/crystalclassics.co.uk\/products\/beryl-var-emerald-14","provider":"Crystal Classics UK","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
