{"product_id":"baryte-on-native-sulphur","title":"BARYTE on NATIVE SULPHUR","description":"Sometimes seen labelled as Baryte and sometimes Celestine, there is clearly much confusion over the chemistry of these stunning bow-tie crystal sprays on Native Sulphur from Machów mine, near Tarnobrzeg, Podkarpackie, Poland. This beauty was previously labelled as Baryte and we have stuck with that until proven otherwise. Despite a seemingly never ending supply of Baryte\/Celestine crystals back in the 1980s, few were undamaged, or reached the pinnacle of aesthetics seen in this stunning miniature, and having closed in the early 1990s, its vast opencast workings are now flooded as a recreational lake and specimens are harder to find available. This cracker is mounted upon a small chamfered acryllic block for display purposes but can easily be removed if required. The main 'bow-tie' grouping, reaches 4.8 cm in length, and presents beautiful colour-zoned pointed crystals with sharp, pointed, sherry-coloured tips and a pale grey to cream centre with either end fanning outwards along a horizontal axis. Other individual sprays balance this miniature specimen nicely, with the largest rising up directly behind the bow-tie group and another to the side a one end. The largest spray has a few chipped terminations but these are not obvious and sit behind the view from the front. Overall, this grouping presents extremely well and as with any great classic, is instantly recognizable as from its famous locality.","brand":"Crystal Classics","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":58506958668111,"sku":"CC31391","price":628.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/1011\/3748\/2063\/files\/CC31391_c3d240b9-6e33-4959-a1c5-f8d0bf9d5976.jpg?v=1787065346","url":"https:\/\/crystalclassics.co.uk\/products\/baryte-on-native-sulphur","provider":"Crystal Classics UK","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
