{"product_id":"azurite-with-partial-pseudomorph-of-malachite","title":"AZURITE with partial pseudomorph of MALACHITE","description":"The discovery of large, sharp, and glossy Azurite crystals at Milpillas mine, in Mun. de Santa Cruz, Sonora, Mexico from 2006 onwards represented a recalibration in top quality display specimens of Azurite crystals but as with any mining operation the supply eventually runs out. Although not the world's largest Azurite crystals, their aesthetics are undoubtedly magnificent and the way the crystals display is often streets ahead of the quality from other older historic sources. This very large miniature specimen from Milpillas mine presents an attractive grouping of very sharp, bladed Azurite crystals to over 2 cm across, in a thin bed, showing classic alteration to green velvety Malachite with some complete pseudomorphs, but also sharp, glossy, resinous Azurite crystal edges, suggesting that the alteration process is not uniform. However, there appears to be an added level of complexity at play here, with many of the supremely glossy Azurite crystals being later, epitaxial overgrowths upon the already altered larger Azurite crystals. It is a very pretty specimen and in excellent condition.","brand":"Crystal Classics","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":58716329804111,"sku":"CC63285","price":332.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/1011\/3748\/2063\/files\/CC63285.jpg?v=1788879678","url":"https:\/\/crystalclassics.co.uk\/products\/azurite-with-partial-pseudomorph-of-malachite","provider":"Crystal Classics UK","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
