A single bladed crystal of blue Azurite is shadowed by two, cloud-like islands of matt green Malachite. The Azurite crystal reaches 5.3 cm tall but is not perfectly terminated, showing a ragged, somewhat naturally corroded upper edge, and lower down shows partial alteration to dark green Malachite. The boundary of this alteration is sharp, instantly from blue to green, but at its base blue Azurite can be seen internally too. To the sides, the oval-shaped masses of Malachite are hollow, or pitted on one side, with some dark grey to black inclusions of Cerussite, but rounded on top, with lightly dimpled pale-, to mid-green surfaces. This is a very unusual type of display for a Tsumeb Azurite-Malachite combination piece and works extremely well.
