The opaque crystals range up to 3 cm wide by 0.8 cm thick and are all of a deep inky midnight-blue with mirror-bright pinacoid faces.  The prism edges of most crystals show excellent growth structures in the form of individually terminated mm-scale Azurite crystals that merge to build the crystals.  Micro-crystals of glassy colourless to translucent white Cerussite crystals  small clusters between some of the Azurite crystals.
