A 2 mm thick layer of massive Azurite varying from light to mid azure blue with a matt lustre covers a light grey layer of granular Smithsonite. One label notes it was found in a small cavity in the 'Cave Pearl Passage', 54 m SSW of the entrance shaft into Cavern 44.
