An absolutely water clear and glassy crystal of Nifontovite with vitreous lustre. The crystal is sharply formed, with an equant elongate body, and a flatter, bevelled termination. It somewhat resembles a glass match stick (better in person than photo)Nifontovite is a rare Borate mineral. It is normally found in microcrystals, and the last find of large crystals at Charcus was over 50 years ago.
