Variscite is a relatively rare mineral, especially the red variety, and this specimen is from the 2006 Boa Vista pegmatite find. This specimen features a vuggy comb-like structure in the white Albite which is richly encrusted with bright pink Variscite. The crystals are spheroidal and less than 1mm in size with sparkling lustre. A pretty specimen!
