A large spinel-law twinned ('macle') natural Diamond crystal, measuring 1.2cm across. Opaque pearly grey with a bright greasy lustre. The crystal has complex form with cubic, octahedral and dodecahedral faces present, and re-entrant angles are visible along the twin plane. The triangular faces have fine trigon surface growth markings, visible by handlens, and other faces have fine striations. A lovely example of the broad range of available natural Diamond crystals. Weight 9.2 carats. This specimen has been tucked away for many years in an old collection, please note that we can only ship it within the USA.
