Well formed crystals of Dioptase measuring to 1.1cm have intergrown in a horse-shoe shaped arrangement on a Calcite matrix, with smaller Dioptase crystals dotted here and there. The Dioptase are preferentially coated on some crystal faces by contrasting lime green Duftite. The Dioptase has the typical high luster and rich green colour, attractive together with the Duftite on the translucent tiny rhombic crystals of Calcite. A lovely colourful specimen from the Tsumeb Mine.
