ex. Lindsay Greenbank Collection
A fine specimen of Barytocalcite from one the North of England's classic locations for the species. The specimen is triangular in shape and very richly adorned with sharp curved arrow shaped crystals measuring to 1.5cm. The crystals diverge in an open intergrown configuration. The Barytocalcites are always coated by a thin layer of white Baryte, typical of the location, on a limestone matrix. A great classic from the Admiralty Flat workings of the Nentsberry Haggs Mine. Collected in 1971 on an expedition to the mine by Lindsay and others.
