A richly adorned small cabinet specimen of sharp prismatic crystals of Amethyst, from the classic Mexican location of Piedra Parada (often labelled as Las Vigas). The Amethyst crystals measure to 3cm tall, and display a high luster. They grade from translucent white at their base to a super gemmy rich purple at the terminations. The Amethyst crystals also show a size gradation from 1cm tall crystals at the front of the specimen, to the larger Amethysts at the back, with a swept back appearance. A fine example of Amethyst from Mexico, gemmy with beautiful colour.
