A fine bright metallic Hematite from the Mt. Ouichane area in Morocco. The specimen consists of lamellae in parallel growth of varying thickness. The Hematite has a mirror like lustre, and interesting growth patterns on the surface. At the top of the specimen the lamellae branch out at 60 degree orientations. One thin blade lies at an angle to the plane of the specimen. Some overgrowth of small Calcite crystals is present. A wonderful display.
