ex. Keith Hammond Collection
An excellent sea green crystal of Fluorite parched nicely on a matrix of Quartz and Calcite. The crystal of fluorite displays prominent formation of smooth faced cube, with the faces of the octahedron composed of stepped micro-cubes. Long acicular crystals of metallic grey Cosalite can be seen as inclusions through the transparent cubic faces of the Fluorite. Tabular rounded white translucent crystals of calcite to 1.2cm diameter are aggregated around the base of the Fluorite crystal. The Calcite and Fluorite in turn sit on a matrix of needle Quartz crystals, with some metallic silvery Arsenopyrite micro-crystals. The Fluorite fluoresces light purple, and the Calcite reddish under UV light. A small cabinet stunner specimen of cubo-octahedral Fluorite from Russia.
