This very gemmy Spessartine specimen comes from one of California's premier gem specimen Pegmatites, namely the Little Three Mine. The Spessartine forms a gemmy 8mm crystal spanning a shallow cavity in a white Albite matrix. Associated with the Spessartine are smaller micro-crystals of the same species. A black part formed crystal of prismatic Schorl makes on appearance from left stage. The Spessartine has a rich tangerine orange colour displaying internal flecks of orange fire with a high luster. This is a fine miniature specimen from the Little Three Mine, with wonderful colour.
