A beautiful Fluorite and Galena from the Frazer's Hush Mine. The Fluorite occurs as well formed interpenetrant twinned crystals to 1.9cm on edge. The crystal faces display typical growth pattens, with a light to dark purple colour, and a high vitreous luster. Many of the crystals are gemmy and transparent, with colour phantoms. The Fluorite is strongly daylight fluorescent, with a neon purple reaction to sunlight, and under UV light. Three bright metallic silver intergrown cubo-octahedral Galena crystals to 2cm compliment the Fluorite on one end of the specimen. the underside of the specimen is liberally sprinkled with sparkling black crystals of Sphalerite to 2mm. Our favourite specimen of the update - the vibrant daylight fluorescence is spectacular in person!
