A beautifully balanced specimen from the Herja Mine, Romania, a locality renowned for producing fine Cronstedtite specimens. The matrix consists of lenticular reddish-brown Siderite crystals with a second generation of beige Siderite on the crystal edges. The Cronstedtite crystals form a partial hemisphere 1.6cm at the widest point on the Siderite. The black trigonal undamaged Cronstedtite crystals are up to 3mm across the pedion. They are lustrous with a high reflection from the crystal terminations. A cracking miniature of the species, acquired from the collection of the Academy of Natural Sciences, Philadelphia.
